There is a '90 JD855 w/ loader, 250hrs., new paint, and canopy for $8700. Reading some of the other posts, this doesn't seem like a great deal. I'm not familiar with hydros and I noticed this problem(?). When you release your foot from the pedal it keeps moving. You have to tap the left and right pedal to balance it to stop. It doesn't come to an automatic neutral position. Is this correct? Granted it was around 9 degrees Far.

stephenr: the jd855 has an adjustment underneath the tractor that allows for adjustment when the tractor crawls when pedals are not depressed. I own a 98-jd855 and these instructions are in the owners manual. how many hours on this tractor? i think the price is a little high as i have approx. 9000 in my 98 model with front end loader and mid mount mower included. good luck sonny jones ....

Thanks Sonny,
Looking at compact tractors is starting to become a hobby of mine. I'm learning a lot, mostly due to the good people on tractor boards such as these (Thank God for the internet, or was it Algore?). I'm even feeling confident enough to try my luck at an auction. Good thing is I'm not in a rush to get something. ....
